Siôn Aled Owen is a Welsh politician and member of Plaid Cymru. He stood for the Wrexham constituency in the National Assembly for Wales election, 2007. Siôn Aled Owen was born in Bangor and now lives in Wrexham (''Wrecsam''). He was educated at David Hughes County Secondary School, Menai Bridge and later achieved a BA in Welsh at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Siôn Aled Owen then studied at Trinity College, Bristol and later achieved a Ph.D in Theology at the University of Birmingham. Currently a Welsh language tutor and freelance translator, he has worked as an academic researcher at the National Library, a lecturer in practical theology, and was associate Minister of Melbourne Welsh Church, Australia. Siôn Aled Owen's political interests include civil liberties and transport.
